Data Nucleus was founded on a conviction. The enterprises solving the hardest problems in manufacturing, energy, telecoms and the public sector deserve AI that thinks the way their best people do. Not faster processes. Cognitive intelligence that reasons through complexity.
That conviction grew from years of applied research at the University of Manchester, where our founder, Dr Moiz Pirkani, proved that machine learning could solve problems traditional methods could not. As computational power advanced, so did the ambition: the same cognitive approach could transform how enterprises operate at scale.
Building a company worthy of that ambition meant years of work before a single product launched. We assembled a team across AI and domain expertise. We consulted enterprise organisations, not pitched them, so that every system was shaped by the reality of where AI breaks down between pilot and production. We treated security, governance and compliance as architecture decisions from the start, and proved results through real-world deployments before anything scaled.
Six enterprise solutions built, tested and deployed before the company ever talked about what was next. When Data Nucleus launched, it was ready to deploy, not ready to experiment.
That conviction now powers two divisions, each solving problems most companies would not attempt together.
